Last Friday we went for a fun day at Thirsk races. Although we've been to the races many times we'd never visited Thirsk racecourse before so it was a new adventure!
Summer's here and the warmer days mean salads are often a great go to meal when you don't feel like spending too long in the hot kitchen. Often though, we find salads, although tasty, are not always the most satisfying. To counter this we've put together this delicious ham pasta salad recipe! Having the addition of pasta to the salad provides carbohydrates, the ham gives protein and the avocado and olive oil are healthy fats, when we eat this salad we feel nice and full for longer.
Tough Mudder season is upon us here in the Uk so I thought it would be good to do a little recap of my TM experiences. Last year I took part in my first TM at the Yorkshire event in August. Myself, my brother and a couple of friends signed up with no real idea of what TM was or what it entailed, we just had a vague idea that we would be running an obstacle race in the mud! It sounded like fun so we decided to give it a go.
One great thing about living in Yorkshire is all the great sport we have on our doorstep! From the Tour de Yorkshirewhich was here last month, to lots of football teams, rugby teams and our favourite cricket team! Last weekend we spent almost all of it watching two of our favourites, an evening of cricket and an afternoon of rugby league.
When we read any other blog or watch videos we love getting to know the people behind the brand. We decided to share a few things about us at Voltage Sport, on our YouTube channel. Starting with a Q and A with Keil! You can watch the video here.
When we are short on time or just looking to mix up our usual workouts we love to put together some mini circuits. Circuit training gets the heart pumping, works various muscles groups and can be different each time! On a recent trip to the gym we put together this circuit focusing on the upper body as we'd worked our legs the day before. For a longer circuit take a look at our 40 minutefull body circuit.
