Recently we attended the press launch for the 2018 Tour de Yorkshire route reveal. The event which took place at the newly refurbished Piece Hall in Halifax, was held to share the full route of the next edition of the Tour de Yorkshire race.
On the day we listened to Sir Gary Verity, CEO of Welcome to Yorkshire the organisers of the race, Christian Prudhomme the director of the Tour de France and a number of cyclists including Mark Cavendish.
Invited to the event were journalists from around the UK, local councillors and a number of local cycling clubs. It was here we saw the full route of the 2018 race which for the first time will be completed over 4 days for the men and 2 days for the women. It will take place from the 3rd-6th May 2018.
We have always had lots of fun watching the Tour de Yorkshire, especially this year when it came to our home city of Bradford.
