Last week we were finalists in the Bradford Means Business Awards for New Business of the Year! It was a great achievement for us to be nominated, as there are only three businesses who get this far in the awards. It also means a lot as these awards are for our hometown of Bradford. Our co-founder, Caroline, was also a finalist in the Young Entrepreneur category so it was set to be a very exciting evening!

BRADFORD MEANS BUSINESS AWARDS

Bradford Means Business

We had a wonderful night all dressed up, as it was a black-tie event, and celebrating at the Aagrah restaurant at Thornbury – It’s always nice to have a good curry!

These awards showcase all of the incredible businesses within the Bradford area. We really were honoured to mentioned alongside them.  As a new business, we are still learning, finding out what you want from us and working on getting people to know about us!

We are proud to be based in Bradford which is in Yorkshire as you can see from our Vive Le Yorkshire t-shirt which was inspired by the Tour de Yorkshire bike race!

We didn’t win but both us as a business and Caroline were runner-ups in the different categories and we came away with two beautifully engraved trophies which will take pride of place in our office! Our co-founder, Keil,  collected our award and of course, we had to take some photos on stage!

You can read the full report from the evening on the Telegraph and Argus website here.

Congratulations to all the winners on the evening and thank you for all of your support in our first year of business – We can’t wait to see what’s next! We have lots of ideas for new designs, improvements and let us know if there is anything you would like to see either in our product line or here on the website!
